Sneak Peek

Self Paced 20-hour course to help you understand more about the human brain

Have you ever wondered what makes you, you? It’s your brain! A wonderfully complex piece of machinery that makes you cry, laugh and wonder “did I leave the iron on?”. The human brain is an incredible organ, but sometimes things go wrong. Whether it is genetics, an accident or a developmental issue, many things can contribute to the impaired function or damage of the brain. However, there is hope! The brain is a plastic organ that is capable of recovery, regeneration and rewiring to correct issues and repair function. Where this is not possible, treatment, drugs and therapy are aids for people who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, tumours or degenerative diseases find new ways to live and cope. This short course covers many aspects of the brain from physiology to psychology and all of the incredible things in between.

Our 20 hour courses are self paced and will help you understand a topic in a short amount of time. You can work through the course when you like- test yourself with mini-tests along the way. There are extra case studies or research you can undertake if you would really like to get into the topic. Once you have completed the lessons and self assessment tasks, there is a final exam undertaken online- you can then download your personalised certificate.
