Get Creative with Your Photos

Looking for ways to get creative with your photography? Why not have a go with some of these ideas?

See the World Twice🪟

Puddles, windows, mirrors —reflections are in everything! Try shooting a familiar scene reflected in a surface for a dreamy, surreal effect. Flip your photo upside down for another creative trick. Something so simple that makes you look like a pro! 🔄🌊 Looking to sharpen your creative eye?

Your Phone is a Powerful Tool📱

“You can only get good photos with a camera” — wrong! Your phone is more powerful than you think! Try capturing the simple things around you: your morning coffee, or textures in your laundry or the books on your shelf. Change your angle, play with natural light from the windows, or zoom in for hidden details. Everyday life makes stunning subjects when you slow down and really look. ☕📖🍞

Frame within a Frame🖼️

Next time you’re out, look for natural frames—doorways, windows, arches, even tree branches. Place your subject inside that frame to create depth and leading lines to where you want your viewer to look. 🚪🌿

Vintage Filter Hack 🎞️

Want a melancholy, soft-focus filter? Stretch a pair of sheer black tights over your phone or camera lens and shoot through them. It can create a dreamy, vintage-style filter—perfect for portraits or street shots. Too simple? Try cutting a small hole in the tights to create selective blur! 🎥✨

Shoot the World As It Happens 🌆

Street photography is all about catching real moments—no posing, no staging. Head out with your phone or camera and look for everyday scenes: someone reading on a bench, bikes against a wall, interesting shop signs, or reflections in windows. 🚶‍♀️📱🖼️

📸 Challenge: Capture a candid moment that tells a story—without showing anyone’s face.
