A study by researchers at King’s College London and UCL in the UK have found a rise in severe distress reports in young adults.

They found that 1/5th of 18 – 24 year olds said they were experiencing severe distress, compared to 1/7th in 2021.  This rise in distress is being found across all age groups, except for people over 65.

Since 2021, there have obviously been quite serious events occurring, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the cost of living increases, the health care crisis and wars.

The researchers suggest that this something that needs to be seriously address to improve the wellbeing of people across different age groups.
