Plant Passports

By ACS Bookshop UK on August 12, 2019 in Horticulture / Gardening | comments

What is a Plant Passport?

If a deal is agreed for the UK to exit the European, new regulations may come into force in December that involve people who trade plants.

The scope of the “plant passport” system will be widened, meaning that even more plants and plant products will require a plant passport.

A plant passport will be required by anyone in the UK involved in moving plants or plant products to other businesses in the EU and the UK that potentially host pests and diseases requiring quarantine.

Plant passports may also be required for movement in protected zones.
